Default Armor Reqs

I was thinking, loads of under level 20s have stuff like droks armor, and occasionally 15k armor, I was thinking, like weapons, give certain armors requirements to prevent newer players from getting it, since some/alot get quite annoyed seeing "newbs" with high armor because they got ran to higher level areas or something.

Warrior sentinel armor has req 13 strength

(with 13 strength it's 100 armor, but under 13 strenght it's only 80 armor)

BTW can someone maybe post a link to why that restriction was ever taken out?I am very curious to the reasons.
- Found that in a thread completely irrelevant to this one. I wasn't in beta so I didn't know about that, but it does sound like they should bring that back.

Are you sure you didnt see my post on the other thread and thought oh thats a nice idea?

Anyways This option was in before (Betas)at some time it was taken out, i would believe it would have been for the retail version.

About Sentinel armor no, the 13 strength is for the extra bonus you can still wear it and get the 80 armor , it doesnt prevent you from using the armor.
So a lvl 1 with cash could still have 80 armor instead of the ~25 .

Considering that in Factions max armor is available in the third town you go to, I don't think new players having max armor is much of a concern anymore.

Oops sorry about that knightsaber,my bad.

Savio : we all know that factions just throws you to the lions without you knowing how to survive , in this case just makes you lvl 20 and throws you in a suddenly harder place.

Maybe in Nightfall this will go slower if that is the case, we would have to see in which direction Anet will keep going, if its slower then factions then the restriction is a good idea, i not then your right,we shoudnt worry about it.

And yes Addone it was a /signed

this is a very good suggestion! lvl restrictions to keep noobs away from high end armour, it just ruins ascalon pvp arena with wars equipped with droks platemail

Nice idea, though they must have taken out the restrictions for a reason. Since you level up relatively quickly (when working your way through properly), then you would grow with the armours. That would cut down on runners through areas other than droks as well. I can see some disadvantages to this restriction, but most are not significant enough to mention. Mostly because you can get pretty far before you 'need' better armor. My level 19 ranger made it to the wilds before I bothered getting him armour other than his ascalonian.

Also,(I don't know if this has been suggested, I'll have to go search)since that Warrior armour has a req strength bonus, why can't other classes have one similar? And If we're going to put level restrictions on, why not put restrictions on FoW to make it harder for ebayers? Thats all my tired brain can come up with. Even if this idea is killed, could someone at least tell us why the restrictions were removed?

not all warrior armor has a req, sentinal armor goes up to 100 with 10 strength, but it's not vital.

It's 13 strength, and yes this has been pointed out twice already

~If people don't like low levels with 15k armors its their problem, i see nothing wrong with getting 15k armor @ a low level, i've done it alot of times...lol no one ever bitched about it O.o;
